Retail and commercial chaplaincy services to everyone working in the Central Bolton economy. Bolton Town Centre Chaplaincy services are: Free - there is no cost to any user of our services, nor is there any charge to an employer or business who calls on Chaplaincy Services Confidential - we will not disclose the nature of any discussion to anyone. We must, though, reserve the right to seek further advice if there is a disclosure of serious criminal activity, or anything that might harm you or those around you. On the very rare occasions when this might be necessary, we will always tell you what action we are taking and why. Impartial - the work of a chaplain is completely independent of any employer, Trade Union or Government organisation. Inclusive - our services are available to anyone, regardless of church, faith or background. We serve people of all faiths and of none. We are not here to preach, evangelise or criticise. We do not seek to convert you from an existing faith or to make you into something you do not want to be. We are, of course, happy to talk about the things we believe in if you want to ask faith-related questions, but we don't have all the answers!		Bolton Town Centre Chaplaincy provides services to anyone who works in the Central Bolton Economy. We will offer to meet you at work, if your company allows visitors during breaks, or at a time and place to suit you. This can be during your breaks, at lunch-times or after work. We are available to talk when everyone else is busy, or when no-one seems to understand or to care. We know what it is like to have a family member going through illness, we know how it feels when someone close to you dies, we know what it is to be made redundant, and we know how helpful it can be to have someone to talk to when life gets tough. Chaplaincy Services for Managers Well documentated research has highlighted that employees who experience a spiritual dimension to their workplace are more likely to be engaged, productive and effective (Milliman, Czaplewski & Ferguson 2003 et.al.). Employees who are going through a difficult time are not going to perform at their best and, at worst, can be a distraction to their colleagues and to your customers. Having an external Chaplaincy Service, where staff can find a compassionate, experienced and sensitive listener, at no cost to your company, may help.
